30-Hour – General Industry
This course covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards as well as general industry safety and health principles. This is an entry-level course that provides you with basic safety and health knowledge for general industry.
Topics covered are scope and application of the OSHA general industry standards. Special emphasis will be placed on those areas that are most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. When you complete this course, you’ll be able to find correct OSHA Standards in 29 CFR 1910, identify common causes of accidents and fatalities in hazardous areas of general industry, identify abatement techniques for hazards found in general industry and much more.
